As Chairman of Milton Keynes Rugby Club, our very own Gary Spinks was interviewed by BBC Sport to discuss what it means for Milton Keynes to host three games as part of this year’s Rugby World Cup.
Milton Keynes has a long and passionate history with the sport of rugby, and Gary has been involved in this for many years, playing, volunteering and supporting MKRUFC for over two decades. Milton Keynes Rugby Club is a community and family focused club located in a modern, purpose built clubhouse in Emerson Valley. It offers rugby for all ages and welcomes new players from all abilities.
As a volunteers club, it is committed to investing in RFU training for its vast number of coaches and whole-heartedly buys into the RFU core values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship, and has been awarded the RFU Seal of Approval. This is why Gary, as chairman of the club, was asked by the BBC to comment on what it means for Milton Keynes to be a host city for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
